Enter hand crafted battlefields, each uniquely designed to test specific aspects of their combatants and force them to adapt to their surroundings. Battlefields are built to host several types of conflicts from simple one on one duels for pride, to battles for the honor of an entire clan. Search the armory for the weapons and artifacts that best suit your combat style so that you may secure victory.
Die and die again in these endless battles that serve only themselves and hope that… maybe one day… you will prove yourself worthy of being chosen for something greater.
Weapons
Your weapon is an extension of yourself. It is the instrument with which you will communicate to your enemies that you are victorious. Become one with your weapon and defeat all those who stand in your way!
In Helheim, weapons are unique and diverse. Weapons are not simply damage, range, attack speed, or other stat variations. Each weapon is designed from the ground up to feel like it has its own personality.
Artifacts
Weapons alone do not define your every last expression on the battlefield. You will also take two artifacts with you to supplement or complement your weapon’s weaknesses or strengths. To command these artifacts you must be brimming with the will to persevere and crush your opponents.
Artifacts vary from simple and versatile slivers of metal that you can throw at foes to the fantastic and potent ability to hurl explosive masses of fire toward those who oppose you in combat.
Game Modes
Helheim offers many different game modes, supporting local (couch) PvP and online multiplayer PvP. Traditional game modes like CTF, FFA, Team Death Match, Dueling, and Last Team Standing will all make an appearance… however, Helheim also features a more unique game mode that we’re calling “Conquest”.
The main goal in the conquest game mode is to destroy the enemy team’s Resurrection Stone so that they can no longer respawn, and then defeat the remaining enemies. However, each individual map will be designed with different obstacles to hinder both sides from destroying the other team’s Resurrection Stone. Each map will also contain objectives to claim which will alter the flow of battle.
There will also be some PvE modes including a horde mode and a dungeon crawl. The extent of development on these modes is still to be determined.
